Volunteer Unpaid Internship Program
IInterns are essential to Thunderbird Dance Camp, enhancing the camp experience through dedication and creativity. They assist with choreography, warm-ups, and logistics, contributing vital skills and perspectives. Their support ensures quality training and community.
An unpaid volunteer internship is available at Thunderbird Camps for those interested in teaching dance to high school students. Interns assist instructors and receive training in dance routines. Room and board are provided at no cost during the camp session.
Applicants should have high school dance team experience and must have graduated high school. A completed application and waiver are required, and materials must be submitted for consideration. Selected interns must attend a pre-camp workshop on June 21st at Wilsonville High School from 8:30 am to 4 pm and will be assigned to a Thunderbird Camp session at the University of Portland. Availability can be indicated in the application.

IF THIS IS YOUR FIRST YEAR APPLYING YOUR COACH NEEDS TO COMPLETE THE INTERN RECOMMENDATION FORM BELOW. MAKE SURE TO SEND THE LINK TO YOUR COACH AND LET THEM KNOW YOU APPLIED. YOUR APPLICATION IS NOT COMPLETE UNTIL THE RECOMMENDATION IS RECEIVED.
If you interned last summer the coaches recommendation is not necessary.
